Course Planner

The golf course, built in the early 1900s, lies on chalk downlands and winds through undulating parkland. It features some of the finest holes in Buckinghamshire and is a tricky yet fair test of golf which both low and high handicap golfers will find challenging and memorable. The beautiful course enjoys remarkable views over the tranquil Misbourne valley and rolling Chiltern Hills.

  • 1st Hole -- Pro's Tip: Short par 4. Keep tee shot left of centre to allow best angle to approach green.

    1st Hole

  • 2nd Hole -- Pro's Tip: Long par 5. Drive left side of fairway which slopes left to right – only the longer players will attempt to get home in two shots. Green guarded with deep bunkers left and right.

    2nd Hole

  • 3rd Hole -- Pro's Tip: Medium length par 3 with bunkers left and right. Take one more club than you think to avoid front bunker. Green slopes uphill front to back.

    3rd Hole

  • 4th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Short par 4 but not an easy tee shot with trees lining fairway right and left. A long iron or fairway wood from tee to a left top right sloping fairway will leave a short iron to the green.

    4th Hole

  • 5th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Medium par 4. Keep tee shot left of centre. Trouble down right hand side from tee to green.

    5th Hole

  • 6th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Long par 4 uphill from tee to green. Longer hitters must avoid bunker in centre of fairway with their tee shot. Keep second shot right to avoid deep greenside bunkers left of green.

    6th Hole

  • 7th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Long par 4. Drive must be right side of fairway. Ball always above feet. Second shot aim right half of green.

    7th Hole

  • 8th Hole -- Pro's Tip: First of two long short holes. All carry over deep valley. Long iron or fairway wood to the impressive hole – very few players are ever long.

    8th Hole

  • 9th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Medium par 4. Drive all uphill. This hole favours the longer hitters who will see the pin for the second shot – others will play blind to green. Keep second shot to right hand side.

  • 10th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Short par 4. Blind tee shot downhill to wide fairway to leave medium to short iron to green.

    10th Hole

  • 11th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Strong par 4. Keep tee shot left. Only long hitters will see green for second shot which must be played left side of fairway as you approach green. Large deep bunker right side of green.

    11th Hole

  • 12th Hole -- Pro's Tip: The signature hole – one of the best in the County. Bunkers right and left all carry over valley to large green. Out of bound over the back – good luck!

    12th Hole

  • 13th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Short par 5. Tight tee shot – more room right than left. Keep second shot left side to leave short pitch to elevated green. One bunker left side of green.

    13th Hole

  • 14th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Short par 4. Three bunkers guard left side of fairway with bushes and out of bounds right – no need for driver here. Blind second shot downhill to green often plays shorter than its yardage.

    14th Hole

  • 15th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Uphill short hole. Four deep bunkers - two short, two left of a very deep green. This hole can play two clubs more than its length. Check pin colour.

    15th Hole

  • 16th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Strong par 4 dog-leg to right. Keep tee shot left of centre. Second shot semi-blind to elevated green.

    16th Hole

  • 17th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Large bunker guards green. Gulley and out of bound left. Be safe take one more club to this large green.

    17th Hole

  • 18th Hole -- Pro's Tip: Elevated downhill tee shot. Out of bounds right. Keep left of centre to run down towards green leaving short iron in. The green has many slopes and borrows making it hard not to three put.
