Harewood Downs has a waiting list but would expect to introduce a new member within 3-6 months of receipt of an application form. Candidates may be proposed by two existing Club members or produce a letter of recommendation from his or her previous Club. If a candidate has not been a member elsewhere and does not know anyone at the Club we invite them up to play golf with us. We require men to have a handicap of 24 or less and ladies a handicap of 36 or less.
For those who are new at the game, the Club also runs a Golf Academy, which is intended to provide the stepping stone to full membership. After some initial lessons with the Professional, Academy members can play the course at quiet times and learn their golf here. We arrange monthly roll-ups for the Academy which are proceeded by group lessons. Academy members have full access to the Clubhouse and are encouraged to join in with the social life at the Club as, when they achieve the required handicap, we invite them to join as a full member.
Junior members, both boys and girls, are most welcome to join our active Cadet Section.

Club Card
The members' Club Card is used to enter competitions and offers 15% discount on food purchases and 20% for drink. Each member is required to deposit £150 per annum (£50 for Social members) on their card.
