Harewood Downs star golfer is 2021 Bucks County Champion!

Last month Daisy Kennedy won the County Championships at Denham Golf Club
The 36 hole qualifying was held on Thursday 20th May with the top 16 moving forward to match play on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd.The final was a very close match against Ciara Egan from Woburn, with Daisy winning on the 18th.

Daisy started playing golf at Pinner Hill Golf Club when she was just 7 years old. She moved to Buckinghamshire at the age of 10, when she joined Harewood Downs and Bucks County. After several appearances for Bucks, Daisy was awarded a scholarship at Stoke Park. Aged 13 Daisy was selected for the England Regional Squad and three years later moved on to the England National Squad. By the age of 16, Daisy’s handicap was +2.

She played for England schools and earned 3 caps against Scotland, Ireland and Switzerland. Daisy has been a member of Harewood for 9 years now and says ‘I still love the course because it’s so challenging’. She also added that ‘Unfortunately I became ill and so I missed two years of golf which took a big hit on my game and confidence so winning the county champs is really special’.

It certainly is Daisy!  All your fellow women golfers at Harewood take their visors off to you.  Congratulations!
